Overview

These terms apply to all services provided by Julia Dacey IBCLC, trading as Milk & Beyond. By booking a session, you agree to them.

1. Who I am

I am Julia Dacey, an IBCLC — International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, the highest clinical qualification in breastfeeding support globally. I am not a doctor. I do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or prescriptions.

2. What my services are

I offer four services.

Feeding support consultation — an in-home visit in Dubai of up to two hours, including a full feeding assessment, an individual feeding plan, written notes sent after the session and two weeks of WhatsApp support.

Preparing to breastfeed — a 90-minute session, available online or in person. Partners are welcome. Written notes are sent after the session. Includes 10% off a future consultation.

Online consultation — a video call covering your specific feeding situation, with written notes sent after.

In-home workshops — bespoke sessions delivered in your home, covering topics agreed with you in advance. Content is tailored to what you need.

All services are educational and informational in nature.

3. What my services are not

My services do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, prognosis or treatment for any medical condition. Nothing I share during a session, in written notes or in any follow-up communication should replace the advice of a qualified medical professional. If anything discussed raises a health concern for you or your baby, please contact your doctor, midwife or paediatrician. Do not delay seeking medical advice because of something you have learned from working with me.

4. Your responsibilities

You know your baby and your body. I work from the information you give me, so I ask that you share it honestly and accurately. You make the final decisions for your family. I give you the best information and plan I can. What you do with it is always your call. If at any point something does not feel right, seek medical attention. Do not wait for our next session.

5. Payment

Payment is due before your session. I will send an invoice on booking. Your appointment is confirmed once payment is received. I do not offer payment plans.

6. Cancellations and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule at any time with reasonable notice. If you cancel after paying and do not reschedule, the refund policy in section 7 applies. This policy may change in future. If it does, I will update these terms and let you know before any change takes effect.

7. Refunds

I do not offer refunds as a standard policy. If you are genuinely unsatisfied with a session, contact me directly at julia@milkandbeyond.com and I will do my best to put it right.

8. Clinical safety

I give guidance based on current evidence and my clinical experience. I ask that you take that guidance seriously, particularly where it relates to safe feeding practices. If I become aware that a client is consistently acting against clinical advice in a way that raises safety concerns for their baby, I reserve the right to discontinue services. In that situation, no refund will be issued. This is not a clause I expect to use. It exists to make clear that your baby's safety comes first.

9. WhatsApp support

Two weeks of WhatsApp support is included with the feeding support consultation. I respond as quickly as I can. I do not have set response hours. For anything urgent or medically concerning, please contact a healthcare professional directly rather than waiting for my reply.

10. Written notes and materials

The written notes, feeding plans and any other materials I send you are for your personal use only. They are my intellectual property. Please do not share, copy or distribute them without my permission.

11. Confidentiality

Everything you share with me stays between us. Your records — notes, assessments and any correspondence — are kept confidential. The only exception is where disclosure is required by law.

12. Limitation of liability

I give you the most accurate and thorough guidance I can. I cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Feeding is complex and every situation is different. By using my services you accept that you are responsible for the decisions you make for yourself and your baby. Milk & Beyond is not liable for any outcomes arising from those decisions.

13. Ending the arrangement

Either of us can end the arrangement at any time. The refund policy in section 7 applies to any sessions already paid for.

14. Privacy

I take the privacy of your personal information seriously. Please read my Privacy Policy at milkandbeyond.com for full details of how I collect, store and protect your data.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the UAE.
